Research Areas
We are working on novel optical analytical methods for determination of chemical or biological species and physical parameters with a strong focus on miniaturized systems. For this we use an interdisciplinary approach incorporating synthetical, analytical, physical, microengineering and biotechnological techniques.
The efforts that we currently pursue in our group and in cooperation with others may roughly be categorized into the following areas:
-
Optical sensors and detection methods for miniaturized separation procedures
Integrated approaches for on-line observation of electrophoresis microchips
